"Laundry: A Chore, An Art, A Living"

Doing the laundry in the 1800's to early 1900's was a demanding event. The exhibit in our museum explores the chore of washing, the art of combining diverse additives to achieve laundry success, and the role of being a laundress in empowering women with their own income.
