Thank you for considering being a volunteer. Without volunteers this worthwhile event cannot happen.
Here are the jobs we need volunteers for.
Sponsor Chair:
Identify and solicit hole and tournament sponsors.
(We have a list of sponsors and addresses that we have contacted in the past.)
Collect funds from sponsors and work with the SHMA Treasurer to deposit into golf tournament account.
Develop sponsorship signage for tournament.
Volunteer Chair:
Recruit volunteers to help with set up, take down, and other operations the day of the tournament such as checking in golfers, taking in money, giving out water, monitoring holes etc.
Make volunteer assignments for the day of the tournament.
Ensure that everyone knows their assignment and role the day of the tournament.
Procurement Chair:
Solicit basket donations, as well as prizes for the tournament winners such as restaurant certificates, free rounds of golf, golf paraphernalia etc.
Spread Sheet Specialist 2:
Sign-up golfers, take their contact information. Assign times for groups teeing off. Contact one member of the golf team to call 2-3 days before the tournament and give that person the actual time of tee off. Sponsors get to pick their time to tee off, so sponsors need to get their first choice. So initially, this specialist will just take names for teams of four or individual golfers who then we will group with other golfers to make a team of four.
