November 15 and 16 are the dates to come to Steilacoom for the Stitches and Stories Quilt Exhibit. Check in and pay at the Museum (at 1801 Rainier Street) then walk a few steps to the historic 1857 Nathaniel Orr Home to see the wonderful displays.

Also two quilts donated by the Immaculate Conception Quilters will be auctioned in an online auction beginning November 8-16 with the winner announced at 4:00 PM on the 16th.

The entry fee will be $10 for adults and $5 for children under the age of 12. Tickets available at the Museum on the exhibition day. The entry fee covers attending both days' demonstrations in the museum education room as well as touring the Orr Home to view a wide variety of quilts and learn more about their stories.

On Saturday, Love Covers will present a mobile sewing event with vintage hand crank machines.

Visitors will have an opportunity to create a quilt block that will be used to make a quilt that will be given to charity.

The Steilacoom Museum Holiday Store will be open during the event and a variety of quilted items will also be sold. The Steilacoom Museum will be open free of charge.

All profits benefit the Steilacoom Historical Museum Association.
